A Little Origami Tutorial

Keeping it Short, and keeping it real today, Folks...keeping it real short.

Here are the steps and a downloadable graphic for your convenience on how to fold a sheet of paper in preparation to draw a mini comic. I'm even going to add in a short video!

  1. Fold the paper in half vertically (hot dog fold).
  • Unfold, then fold in half horizontally (hamburger fold).

  • Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease (creating 4 equal sections).

  • Unfold, then cut a slit along the center horizontal fold, between the two inner vertical creases.

  • Fold horizontally again and push the two ends toward the center so the slit opens into a cross or “X” shape.

  • Continue pushing so the pages wrap around into a booklet.

  • Flatten and fold into an 8-page booklet.
